An overview of BuildPass settings

Easily customise your account, notifications, and project settings in the BuildPass admin app to better manage your projects and workers.

In the BuildPass admin app, you have access to a variety of settings that allow you to manage your personal preferences, company information, and specific project settings. Here's a breakdown of what you can do in the Settings sections.


User-Level Settings

User level settings allow you to customise your account details and also your notification settings on the BuildPass app

To update your Account Details and Notification Settings, click on the profile icon at the top right corner of the app.

Here you can change your name, email, and profile photo. In notification settings, you can customise how and when you receive alerts for actions, subcontractor insurances, permit updates and more. You can toggle notifications on or off as needed.

Project and Company Settings

Manage your company level and project specific settings settings. Here you'll also find some more general settings relating to all of your BuildPass modules such as your SWMS, Actions, Defects and Subcontractor settings.

To view these settings navigate to the bottom left corner of the BuildPass app.


Company Settings

Add or update your company profile photo, name, and ABN in Company Settings. You can also edit or add company-wide tickets required during inductions (e.g., white cards).

Project Settings

Modify details like project address, start/end dates, and contact information in Project Settings. You can also enable Geolocations to remind workers to sign in or out when entering or leaving the site. Add and edit Tickets specific to the project, and enable QR Code Rotation for more accurate tracking of workers on-site.

General BuildPass Settings

Manage all General and Module Settings including SWMS, Timesheets, Checklists, Actions, and more.

SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements)

Toggle Signature Expiry on or off based on worker sign-ins. Customise PDF Export Settings to include SWMS checklists and activity logs. Use the SWMS Builder to create SWMS from templates or allow workers to create their own. Set expiration dates for entries in the SWMS Library.


Timesheets

Here you can create custom time entries, enable timesheet notes, manage start and end times, assign admins for secondary approval, and enable CSV exports for Subcontractor Timesheets, including formats compatible with JobPac.


Checklists

Control Checklist Access and requirements, you can also add Checklist Categories for easier navigation. Set Checklist Actions to notify workers only after a checklist is complete.


Actions

Customise Action Types and priorities, enable Manual Reminders with deadlines, and allow subcontractors to mark actions as "completed" or "can't do."


Induction Settings

Toggle document access and induction requirements for workers, allow project managers to edit Induction Templates, and enable or disable QR code requirements for inductions.


Subcontractor Settings

Set up Insurance Expiry Reminders and notify subcontractors to update expiring insurance, as well as add custom insurance types beyond the defaults (e.g., public liability).


Sign-on Settings

Manage QR Code Sign-on Requirements and geolocation reminders for worker sign-ons. Here you can also prevent sign-ons if a worker's tickets are invalid or expired.


Permit Settings

Assign other admins to receive notifications about Permits.


Defect Settings

Control whether Defects can be assigned to individual workers.


Prequalification Settings

Assign admins to receive notifications when subcontractors submit or get prequalified.


Communications

Toggle company-wide communications on or off as needed.


AI Tools

Enable AI-powered tools to enhance project management.
