Your Site Diary is the daily record of what has been done on your site
The Site Diary is the best way to record daily activities, events, and observations on your sites. Only users with access to BuildPass Admin can view and update Site Diaries, this is those Users with Owner, Manager or Project Manager access.
Your Site Diary is the best way to accurately, track the daily happenings on your construction sites. It serves as a reliable historical record, assisting in the resolution of disputes, claims, and legal matters that may arise during or after the project.
To access the Site Diary, follow these short and simple steps below:
- Make sure you choose the correct project you are creating the site diary for. Click the dropdown arrow button on the upper-left hand corner to display the project list
- Click the Site Diary module under Project Management
- Create a Diary for Today
There are two ways to create a diary for today:
Option 1: Within the Site Diary module, click "Create Today's" which you will see on the left-hand side of the page
Option 2: At the very top of the page, click the "New" button, and from the drop-down menu, select "Create Site Diary". This. can be done from anywhere within BuildPass.
- Create a Diary for Any Other Day
To create a diary for a different date, choose the option with three dots labeled "More".Click on "Create a Site Diary for Any Date". You will then be prompted to populate the date.
- Fill in Diary Details:
Once you have selected the date for the diary (today or any other day), start filling in the details. Most Site Diary modules will have the ability to record:
The weather conditions for the day.Inclement weather, that may have delayed your project.Attendance - remember you can manually add to the attendance record
General description of works for the day.Photos.
6. Uploading Photos and Documents
It is a great idea to upload relevant photos and documents captured on Site that day. This will provide you with a clear understanding of the works that were done as well as help build out a thorough "Image Gallery". To upload images and/or documents:
Click on the "Upload" button and select the files you want to attach.After uploading, click the "Save" button to save the changes.
7. Access and Manage Past Diaries
You can access your past Site Diaries at any time. To do this, simply go to the "Site Diary" module and view the list there. You can sort the diaries by date, from the newest to the oldest. You can also change the view to calendar mode for a different perspective.
