How to Manage Timesheets: A Step-by-Step Guide
In this article, we will walk you through how to manage timesheets, including how to see previously submitted timesheets by workers, review these, and manually generate timesheet records. Let's get started:
Step 1: Access the timesheet module
On the left-hand side of your screen, you will see the timesheet module. Click on it to access the current timesheet submitted for all workers for the given project and week.
Step 2: View timesheets
You can view the timesheets for any specific day or week. In the module, it will summarise various different aspects, such as what type of time has been submitted, the number of regular and overtime hours, and the total time submitted.
Step 3: Update timesheet status
To update the timesheet status, select the specific record you want to change, and click on it to jump in. You can then update the status to either pending or approved. You can also select multiple records and update their status in bulk.
Step 4: Edit timesheet records
You can edit the timesheet records by selecting the specific record and clicking on it to jump in. From there, you can edit the subcontractor they work for (if they have multiple), the date, the number of hours, the type of time, and the status. You can also add new timesheet records manually.
Step 5: Automatically approved timesheets
If you want to set timesheets to be automatically approved, you can do so in the settings. This means that any timesheets that meet specific criteria will be automatically approved, without the need for manual approval.
Conclusion
Managing timesheets can be a time-consuming task, but with the right tools, it can be streamlined and efficient. By following these simple steps, you can easily view and manage timesheets for all workers on your project.
