How do I configure the settings for timesheets?

In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the process of configuring the overall settings for timesheets and enabling features such as a secondary approver for timesheets.

Step 1: Accessing Timesheet Settings

To begin, log in to your timesheet management platform and navigate to the "Settings" section. Look for a specific category or sub-section named "Timesheets." Click on it to access the dedicated timesheets page.

Step 2: Managing Time Types 

On the timesheets page, you will find options to manage different time types, such as regular hours, overtime, annual leave, sick leave, etc. If you wish to add a new time type, click on the "Add" button and follow the prompts. If you want to edit an existing time type, locate the respective entry and click on the "Edit" option.

Step 3: Editing Time Types 

When editing a time type, you have the ability to modify the text, change the colour associated with it, and even choose a relevant icon if required. Make the necessary changes and save the updated time type.

These selected users will receive an email notification when the timesheets are approved for the first time, prompting them to approve it for the second time.

If your organisation works with subcontractors and you want to enable timesheet features only for specific subcontractors, head to the "Subcontractor Whitelist" section on the timesheet settings page. Here, you can choose to enable timesheets for selected subcontractors or leave it disabled to apply to all subcontractors.
