Using the SWMS Builder to submit SWMS
Easily create and manage your SWMS with the BuildPass SWMS Builder, ensuring seamless compliance and quick project turnaround.
As a subcontractor using BuildPass, you may receive invitations from builders to upload SWMS files for specific projects. The SWMS Builder module simplifies the process, allowing you to quickly create and manage SWMS files directly within the platform.
Here's how you can use the SWMS Builder:
- When you receive an email invitation from a builder, click the "Upload Files" button. You'll be shown an option to submit your SWMS with the SWMS Builder.
- You can choose to create a SWMS from scratch, use one of BuildPass's templates, or select a template provided by the builder. If you don’t have a personal template yet, you can use a BuildPass template to start with
- For example, if you're working on a general painting job, select the corresponding BuildPass template and fill in the necessary details, such as your contact information. These details may be pre-filled if provided by the Builder.
- Complete the SWMS by detailing the high-risk work, plant and machinery involved (e.g., forklifts, power tools, ladders), work activities, hazards, controls, and responsible persons.
- After finalising your SWMS, select the appropriate PPE and submit it.
- Ensure you save the SWMS as a template for future use, which is helpful for similar projects.
- Once submitted, the builder will be notified and will review the SWMS for compliance. If any issues are found, they may request changes.
- If changes are requested, you’ll receive an email with a link to view the builder's feedback. You can then use the SWMS Builder to update your submission. You can start from scratch, use the BuildPass template, or modify your saved template.
After making the necessary adjustments, resubmit the SWMS, and the builder will review the updated file.
Using the SWMS Builder ensures that your documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project requirements, making the process smooth and efficient.
